The Token Persistence Threshold (minimum balance) has been lowered to 60k Saito!

The Token Persistence Curve defines the minimum UTXO balance which will persist on mainnet, i.e. mainnet balances are required to be above this ever-decreasing threshold. This enables us to better support fee-free transient<\/em> transactions (which don’t persist, but are crucial to Saito applications nonetheless) and to speed up development in this stage of the roadmap.<\/p>\r\n

Lowering this value to zero is an important objective in order to reach The Real Economy Era<\/em> of the roadmap<\/a>; this is scheduled to happen at the end of 2025. When this minimum reaches zero, the network will be ready for a full range of applications.<\/p>\r\n
